Why take the Cape Trib Adventure Bus?
The Cape Trib Adventure bus is an ideal shuttle service between Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation if you don’t want to hire a car. It’s easy and convenient, we pick up from all Port Douglas accommodation. You have the option to book the fare only or add on some activities. It gives you the freedom to explore this paradise without a tour group but our local driver will still give you heaps of information and great tips on what to see and do.
After we pick you up from your Port Douglas accommodation in our comfortable, air-conditioned 12 seater bus, we head north towards the rainforest. Passing through sugar cane fields and the sugar town of Mossman, we arrive at the Daintree River. An old fashioned cable car ferry will carry us across and straight into the lush greenness of the forest. Winding our way over the mountain range while keeping an eye out for cassowaries, we arrive at Cape Trib at around 10 am.
We highly recommend you book at least one tour. Not only are they fun, they will make you appreciate the unique environment so much more. Start your day in Cape Tribulation with a tour from our Adventure Activity Menu. Afterwards you can enjoy lunch at any of the cafes or restaurants in town. And, because we do all the driving, you can even treat yourself to a cold beer or a glass of wine. In the afternoon you can either explore this paradise on your own, or choose another activity to make your day complete. We provide you with a map and directions to find beautiful tropical beaches, walks, a fresh water swimming hole and places to eat and drink. We also make sure you are in the right place, at the right time for all tours.
